Q: What do the HCG Diet Plan consist of?

A:

1. 2 Loading Days

2. 21-38 (VLCD Days)

3. 3 Days of VLCD without HCG Drops

4. 3 Weeks Maintenance Phase

Q: What can I eat while completing the HCG Protocol?

A:

• Drink two quarts of water each day.
• Breakfast: herbal teas, black teas, or coffee.
• Lunch/dinner: 500 calories of food each day from the following: 100 grams of beef, veal, chicken, white fish, lobster, shrimp, or tuna. Two vegetables from the approved list with each meal (includes broccoli, cabbage, cucumbers, green beans, zucchini, tomatoes, and others). One fruit from the approved list with each meal (includes apple, orange, strawberries, grapefruit, peach, apricot, cherries, and others). In place of fruit, ¾ cup of non-fat yogurt can be eaten once per day. Finally, one serving of crackers or bread sticks from the approved list with each meal.

Q: Won’t I starve if I only consume 500 calories per day?
A: No. Because HCG releases your fat reserves, your body begins to “consume” the fat, which acts as a source of energy in place of food. In essence, you burn about one pound of fat each day (one pound is 3,500 calories). Therefore, your total consumption each day will be about 4,000 calories – 500 from food and 3,500 from fat. That is why most dieters do not experience extreme hunger while using HCG.

Q: Who is the HCG diet for?
A:  It's for women and men, young or old, who want to lose at least 10 pounds. We don't recommend this diet to those who want to lose less because this diet is so effective. People have lost well over 100+ pounds on this diet so rest-assured it is effective. But of course it is recommended to check with your doctor before beginning any new weight loss program.

Q:  What can I expect to lose on the HCG diet?
A: If you follow the provided protocol most people lose between .5-2 pounds per day on average. Some days will be more and some will be less but overall that is the average. Men tend to lose a bit more than women but this is normal. Stick to the plan and you'll see great results.

Q: What if I don’t lose weight, will I receive a refund?
A: Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee results of the program. Much of the success of the program is based on your willingness to follow the strict protocol. By “taking days off” or cutting corners on meals, the effectiveness of the program is greatly reduced. We encourage you to follow the protocol with strict heed, however, each body is unique and the program offers no guarantee.

Q: Will I be hungry while on the HCG diet protocol?
A: A majority of our customers say when they followed the meal plan exactly, and took the drops as directed they were not hungry. And sometimes felt full after each meal! Some dieters report the first 2 days on the low calorie diet plan can be the hardest. It’s the beginning phase of limiting what you eat. Most times the difficult nature is purely the mental change that needs to take place of eating smaller portions than you are used to. The HCG will help you get the needed energy and calories from stored fat instead of only food from your stomach. Additionally, the diet plan begins with a “gorging” phase, for the first 2 days while you take the drops. This helps load the body with calories to use during transition into the low calorie phase 2 of the diet. People who follow the HCG protocol faithfully, and stick to it will see fantastic results!

Q: Is exercise necessary while on the HCG diet?
A: Exercise is not a required while on the diet. We suggest for people who want to exercise is that you do cardio for 15 to 30 minutes daily. Cardio is great exercise and helps your health in a variety of ways. It can help reduce stress, keeps the bowels moving, and can promote better blood and oxygen circulation. The HCG diet is a great kick start to reach your ideal weight and begin eating healthy and exercising regularly.

Q: A low calorie diet? Is this healthy?!

A: The diet that you follow during the HCG diet is one of the most common questions and will also be what your friends and family will give you a hard time about if you ever tell them what kind of diet you are on. But rest assured the amount of calories you eat a day is more than enough to remain healthy while shedding the pounds. Of course you can't do the low calorie diet forever but the HCG diet plan is not designed that way. This is about undergoing a short term program to make a lasting change. You will be doing it for several weeks and then go back to a "normal" diet. Of course once you go back to a "normal" diet you will be making smarter choices with food and most report not being nearly as hungry or eating as much as they used to.

Q: Won’t I just lose weight on a low calorie diet without HCG?
The answer to the question is yes, BUT the body can only sustain that low calorie intake for so long before it goes into starvation mode. (Usually only a few days) The body starts to realize that food is getting scarce and will begin to keep the stored fat it has in reserves, not releasing it to be burned as energy. In addition, you need to understand how the body stores and uses fat. Dr. Simeon’s identified three separate fat stores:

Normal fat: Normal fat doesn’t take a lot of effort to lose.

Structural fat: This type of fat pads the various organs, protecting the arteries and cushioning them. You don’t want to lose this type of fat. It is vital to your health and wellbeing. On a typical very low calorie diet, this is the fat you lose once your normal fat has been depleted.

Abnormal fat: This is the type of fat that is stored and somewhat locked away. This fat can be very difficult to lose with just exercise, but when you start on the HCG protocol, the body readily releases fat from these “last resort” fat areas.
